January brings us the classy stock 40 Ford of Lee and Emelie Dotson. This is just one of three classics they have and Lee seams quite taken with it as he has just acquired the Ford. He has wanted a 40 Ford since he was 15 years old.
The way he got it is quite amazing. He had just started looking for a 40 Ford and was at a gas station in Corona when he spotted the Ford pull in. He went over to look at it and there was a for sale sign on the back seat. The owner showed up and Lee asked him if it was for sale. The owner (an attorney from Corona) said “Yes, it is and I was just going put it up for sale.’’ Well with that, Lee went to the attorney’s house bought it and took it home that day.
I asked Lee if he has taken the 40 Ford to any car shows. Lee replied he has only had it for a month and a half, but plans to keep it stock and show it right away. He said he had always wanted to do the Big Bear Fun Run so I gave him some insight as to the process on how to enter early. We look forward to seeing Lee and Emelie and the 40 at future shows. Glad Lee, Emelia and the 40 are with us at CAL-RODS. I’m sure it will show well.
