We are sorry to report the passing of Mark Carter. Mark perished in a helicopter crash March 24 while delivering emergency supplies to homeowners stranded in heavy snow in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Mark Carter invented the EZ-UP in his garage in 1983 at 21 years old. He then founded the International EZ-UP Company with partner Brad Smith. Mark was the son of longtime CAL-RODS members Archie & Faye Carter.
Mark was a generous man, who donated EZ-UP products to CAL-RODS, and was involved in charity work for many years. He was also a well-known American Grand Prix Dressage Rider and competed in many international events.
