The 1940 Ford of Mike & Joan Case is a true classic hot rod & just says “let’s have fun fifties style”. With its Eaton supercharger, Reds headers, Warner T-5 five speed transmission, Edlebrock 500 carburetor and manifold, this blown Flathead Ford really gets down the road. But, don’t forget Mike & Joan like their creature comforts. So this car has air conditioning, power windows, nice tweed upholstery, & lots of room in the back for the Grandkids.
Mike bought the car from (of course) another fireman in Arcadia. He has taken it to Dana Point, Palm Springs, & a number of local shows. He plans on a lot more trips & just asks “When, I’m ready?”
When I asked why the 1940 Ford, he replied “One, because of the Flathead. Two, I had to get off my motorcycle, & three it’s not a Chevy. Great representation for Cal-Rods, Mike.
