This month’s feature car belongs to Klaus and Jane Pikschus. The car was bought new at Kott & Smoller in Wilmington, Ca. It was manufactured at the Ford assembly plant in San Jose Ca.
Klaus and Jane are fairly new members of Cal-Rods. They joined in the summer of 2016. You may know Klaus from his plumbing and heating service company in Upland, Ca which he started in 1973. He is still at the same location and the business is named Klaus & Sons Heating, Plumbing & Air-conditioning. His business website is http://www.klausandsons.com/
The car is a totally stock Mustang G T with a new black power top matching the original top. It has the original Ford-air under dash A/C unit. Everything in this car works perfectly with the original 72,000 miles.
Ford sold 607,568 mustangs in 1966. An interesting fact is to this day that’s the most mustangs ever sold in a single year and 72,000 of them were convertibles. Check out Klaus & Jane’s Mustang the next chance you get. It’s an outstanding vehicle and a great addition to the Cal-Rods family.
