This month’s featured car is the 1957 Chevy truck owned by Joe and Joyce Rode. Along with the features listed above, it has vintage a/c and heat, Dacota Digital Dash, I-Didit Steering Column, Brothers one piece front windows; pulley kit, valve covers and hood hinges by Eddie Motor Sports, plus great looking wood for the bed. The truck has many subtle features that add to the clean look of the truck, such as rounded bed corners, hidden tailgate hinges by Joe and his son, and cab floor modifications. All the excellent paint work was done by Joe’s son.
This truck is a replacement for the one Joyce and their kids gave Joe for his 50th birthday. That truck was totaled in an accident. The truck you see today, took almost 10 years to complete with lots of help from family and friends.
To sum it up, this is one of the nicest looking Chevy trucks (of which there are many around) and a great representative of the fine quality of cars that make up CAL-RODS.
