The 1940 Ford of Mike and Joan Case is a true classic hot rod and just says “let’s have fun fifties style”. With its Eaton supercharger, Reds headers, Warner T-5 five speed transmission, Edlebrock 500 carburetor and manifold, this blown flathead Ford really gets down the road. But, don’t forget Mike and Joan like their creature comforts. So, this car has air conditioning, power windows, nice tweed upholstery, and lots of room in the back for the grandkids.
Mike bought the car from (of course) another fireman in Arcadia. He has taken it to Dana Point, Palm Springs, and a number of local shows. He plans on a lot more trips and just asks “When, I’m ready?”
When I asked why the 1940 Ford? He replied “One, because of the flathead. Two, I had to get off my motorcycle, and three It’s not a Chevy. Great representation for CAL-RODS, Mike.
