CAL-RODS FEATURED CAR FOR MAY 2024
Written by Terry Lowe
OWNER: DENIS PROSENKO YEAR: 1966 MAKE AND MODEL: CHEVY IMPALA CONVERTIBLE COLOR: PORSCHE TAN UPHOLSTERY: TAN ENGINE: 350 CHEVY TRANS: CHEVROLET TH350 REAR END: 12 BOLT WHEELS: BILLET SPECIALTIES Denis has done it again; he bought another Chevy Impala; this time a beautiful tan convertible. The convertible is a 1966 model with a 350 small block and 2-barrel carb setup. The interior, including the trunk, is done in tan as well. The car is bagged and has 20-inch x 8 ½ inch Billet Specialties Wheels in front and 22-inch x 10 inch in the rear. Denis said the rear tires fit without tubbing which makes for a tight fit. Of course, there were things that had to be changed to make it his car. For instance, all the exterior trim was engraved and not to Denis’ liking, so the trim is being replaced with stock trim. Dakota gauges have recently been installed in the dash and the stereo system sounds great. Denis bought this car from a friend just a few months ago and he says this is the one he’ll keep. This car is one of the finest ‘66 Impalas you will see on the street or at the local car shows. Let's all hope that Denis has found the right car for him. |
