This month’s featured car is the beautiful 1965 Pontiac of John and Dee Dee Hussey. This car, with the above features and upgraded power brakes, power steering, cooling system, sound system, and cold Vintage Air Conditioning, makes it a pleasure to drive. Of course, this was goal of John; he wanted a car that would please both of them, especially on the long drives to the out-of-area shows.

In 2017, after much encouragement from T.J. Santarelli to get a car and join the club, John went to Scottsdale, Arizona to the Barrett Jackson Auction to buy a Pontiac GTO. You see, he had wanted one ever since he was 15 years old. When he got there, no GTOs were on the auction list of cars. As he walked around, he found a late entry that wasn't on the list; a 1965 GTO. Well, the rest is history; he bid on it and even out bid Charlie and got his dream car.

John has taken the car to the Palm Springs Dr. George show, Solvang Wheels & Windmills show, Big Bear Fun Run, Escondido Cruzin Grand, Morrow Bay Show, Santa Anita Run with a Winner Show, and many more local shows. As you see, he has it to drive and drive he does. Thanks to John and the GTO for being in CAL-RODS and keeping my Pontiac company.
