Well, Rich Ralstin is at it again with his latest project; the 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle he rescued from his nephew. I asked him why the Chevy and he said, “It was in the family, and I had to do it.”
This car is his daily driver; tough life Rich!
The car was originally a six cylinder and there were only 8,224 of them made as Malibu SS 2-Door Sport Coupes compared to 57,445 of them made with V-8 engines.
Rich finished this car in May. With its 454 C.I. engine, 700 R4 Trans, and Ford 9” rear end, it will get down the road. The Red Factory replacement upholstery really sets the look for the White and Fana Beige paint job. Other comforts include Vintage AC, intermittent windshield wipers, power steering, and power brakes. This was a really nice build. Take a close look at it the next time you see Rich with it; you’ll be glad you did.
Rich is just starting to show the car and just got back from Solvang, where he was parked right next to me. There was a steady stream of admirers all day looking at his latest creation.
Nice job Rich, CAL-RODS is glad you are one of us.
